Reviewing Your Requirements
There are several products in the Endura range that can be used to enhance your performance in a variety of ways. Using specific nutrients to target your training goals is the best way to improve your results. In this month’s newsletter we will be reviewing how each Endura product can help meet common training needs.
Rehydration – Keeping yourself hydrated
Many people who exercise regularly are likely to encounter dehydration during training and competition. Ensuring you are sufficiently hydrated is critical for your capacity to train, compete, and recover successfully. There is more to hydration than just water. When you sweat, you lose electrolytes, which are chemicals that are required for cells to carry the electrical impulses needed for muscle contractions. If you need to keep hydrated, use Endura Rehydration Formula.
Endura Rehydration Formula
- A scientifically advanced rehydration drink that is designed to replace glycogen and electrolytes in optimal ratios to aid in faster re-hydration.
- Includes patented magnesium, Meta Mag™, to help relieve muscular aches, prevent cramping and improve stamina.
Recovery – Recover well and reap the benefits
Your ability to recover between training sessions can help give you that competitive edge. Enhancing your recovery potential will allow your body to perform at its best every session. Recovery has been formulated into what is known as the “4R System”, which summarises the key components of optimal recovery.
- Restore electrolytes,
- Replenish glycogen,
- Reduce muscle stress, and
- Rebuild muscle protein.
The best Endura products to help with the 4Rs of recovery are Endura Optimizer and Endura Creatine Plus.

Tips from Allan Pitman
Tips from Allan Pitman – Triathlon Coach and Ironman Competitor
With over 25 years of triathlon experience and 41 triathlon races behind him, Alan Pitman has extensive knowledge of what it takes for an athlete to reach full potential.
Allan currently trains athletes ranging in age from 20 years old to 65 years old and has had many of these qualify for the Hawaiian Ironman race - one of the toughest triathlon races.
Allan lives by his coaching philosophy - "you cannot get an unhealthy body fit, you must get the body healthy and then become fit". This is evident as he is still competing in triathlons in the 60-64 age group and has had over 40 athletes qualify for the Hawaiian Ironman.
"In a few weeks we start the 16 week build up to the WA Ironman in Busselton. When we train for an Ironman triathlon we average 15 hours training per week for a newer athlete and up to 22 hours per week for a more experienced, more advanced athlete. We always have one complete rest day each week. So that leaves 15-22 hours of training to be fitted into 6 days. With one of these being a long training day of 7-8 hours, you’ll have 8-15 hours training to be spread over the other 5 days. That usually means the average training day will be around 3 hours.
Most of my athletes have jobs and many have family commitments on top of all of this and I’ve found that all of that training can cause athletes to become run down, cranky and lethargic. Two things I have found to help keep athletes happy and performing in training are adequate protein intake, and maintaining high mineral levels. Heavy sweat rates in fit athletes can cause the loss of important minerals and can predispose athletes to problems like cramping. I’ve found athletes taking Endura Max each day, right after the main training session, never experience cramping, and their performance levels do not drop as much as others over the heavier weeks of the program."
This is a great example of how a small amount of supplementation often is more effective than waiting for a problem to arise, then trying to correct it.
